- Heat about 200 ml full cream milk, add one flat tablespoon of honey and about one good teaspoon of butter or margarine. Use a saucepan to heat the mixture.
- Boil ingredients slowly until the butter melts. This forms a yellow layer to the top.
- Pour into a cup and allow to slightly cool before giving to children.
- Sip slowly making sure you drink the yellow part also.
- Coughing should stop or subside within an hour of drinking this mixture.
- Make sure you keep yourself warm and if you have dry coughs drink lots of water!
